I've been using up my old fabrics in simple quilt tops and doing a few donation quilts. Your fabrics would generate new ideas. 3/5 villagequilterATgmailDOTcom
I do hope you raise a large amount for the Birth Center. (I found out about your raffle, and read your July posts, when I subscribed to your feed). 5/5 villagequilterATgmailDOTcom
1/5 This is a great cause. I just donated 5 dollars. Hope you'll get loads of money for the birth center. I am in the UK so only fabric for me in case I win. (ideally some Heather Ross, but that's down to the goddess of fate, Moira, what a great name for a baby :)
My sincere condolences on your miscarriage. I can only imagine... Thanks for a super way to give away! My pleasure to donate - it's a win-win situation. 1/5
What an awesome idea to host an online bloggy raffle. It's so quick and easy for so many people to donate, and all those little bits add up to a huge bit. I love it! Good luck! And awesome prizes that you've chosen, crossing my fingers.
I blogged about this and I tried to 'track back' but I've never done it. Feel free to email me if it didn't work. In any event, the link to MY blog entry is:
4/5 I have to say that I love (love love love) the quilt you made for your friend's baby shower. I love the mixture of modern off-center piecing with creative, wild crazy pieced squares. I hope you don't mind if I use it as inspiration for a baby quilt for a friend of mine.
This is the best way I've seen for people all over the world to help worthwhile places. We can donate what we can afford, and feel good about helping. Thank you for that. I've donated $5. forgot my comment of course and if I win something I will send a copy of PayPal receipt. 1 of 5 larmenti@bellsouth.net
5 of 5 (forgot comment at PayPal, if I win I will send a copy unless you want it now) Next time I do something I will definitely read everything and follow the instructions. Thanks. larmenti@bellsouth.net
FETCH! I forgot to leave the special comment in my donation too! However, I can say that the donation is in my husband's name Jeff H*****d since it's his name attached to the paypal account instead of mine. I also donated $5... so 1/5
I also enjoyed looking through the website of the birth center, and I think it's a wonderful cause to donate for! Every woman should have ALL options opened for a safe birth open to her, and I'm in full 100% of a new birth center popping up somewhere! The more the merrier! 3/5
It's funny you're obsessed with featherweights.. after my husband's Grandmother died, my inlaws dug up quite a few she had, and stupid me not realizing their value at the time told them I didn't want them, so they got TOSSED OUT IN THE GARBAGE. I'm going to be kicking myself in the behind for the rest of my life. Oh well, live and learn I guess. 4/5
Oh, and you can add me to the list of followers... I had to start following your blog! I love the quilts you've made and I'm really sorry for the recent loss of your baby. 5/5
Post4 White would be my second choice of color after my favorite pink for a little Singer machine.! But now ,even if I could get a black one I would consider myself blessed!!!!!Bonnie Walker baw78413@yahoo.com
4/5: I highly recommend Baby Catcher: Chronicles of a Modern Midwife by Peggy Vincent (a Berkley midwife), for anyone interested...she has a blog, too!
5/5: Good luck! Hope you meet your goal! Awesome cause! (and I just realized I forgot to include my email address in the last post #193! oops! Hope you don't pick that one!) mmhollinger@yahoo.com
Well, I was supposed to be an editor living in New York and wearing black everyday and never get married or have kids.....but that didn't happen, so instead, I became a stay at home mom with two radical kids and an awesome husband(6 out of 7 days). I think I could be described as "crazy but in a good way."
8/1/10: I am very glad to make a modest donation to the Birth Center today. Your raffle is most generous. 1/5
