Orange and Grey Snail Sampler (Sort of)

I've been working on this one for a bit and I'm so in love with it.  I'm fairly certain this will end up a twin size for my boy.  My main print fabric is the peach snail from Heather Ross' Far Far Away line.  The rest are a bunch of orange, peach, and grey Kona cottons.  I LOVE THIS QUILT!!!!

I love learning more "things" with each quilt I make - ya know?  I love knowing how to do wonky stars.  Knowledge I never knew I needed!  I think I will add another border in coal, and then maybe another orange border and be done.  Not sure how to quilt it....  I just love how funky and weird the colors are, but I really feel like it's working.

If my Heather Ross Studio Sale box doesn't show up today, I think I will cry......   :(

  1. nice job on the quilt. and i am feeling you, i run to the door everyday to see if the mailman has brought me my studio sale package yet. still waiting!

  2. What a cool quilt. I love it. I too am waiting for my HR studio sale package. I'm out on the west coast (southern cal) so maybe we'll be next. Again, love the quilt. The colors are wonderful.

  3. I love the gray and orange! I'm working on a star quilt too and I just love how they each have their own personality :)

  4. i loooove the color combo!! i have yet to figure out wonky stars, this makes me want to learn!! so awesome.

  5. it's beautiful! i love those colors, especially the light gray with the darker gray! Can't wait to see what your HR box holds - I missed it by about 5 minutes, so I'm having to live vicariously through everyone else!

  6. Gorgeous quilt - I love the color palatte too!@
